1896 performance (November 11) by Richard Gompertz (and Gompertz Quartet?) mentioned in January 1 1898 Musical Times (on occasion of another performance in London, December 1 1897.)

First ever commercial recording, by the Dante Quartet (on SOMM), announced (for issue late August 2018?), coupled with quartets 4 and 7. Update: released, reviewed as of 2019.
