Our younger daughter decided to take harp lessons. One of her first pieces was this lovely tune, an old English folk song called "The Grenadier and the Lady." This tune goes back so far that there are many versions of the lyrics and several names. It is also known as "The Nightingale Sings," "One Morning in May," and "The Bold Grenadier." I decided to write some Epiphany lyrics to it since there are not all that many texts in hymnals that include the wise men as well as the topics of evangelism and Christ as King - all subjects of emphasis during Epiphany. I like this tune so much that I have used it again in my text, "God Bless Our Enemies." It is also available here on Score Exchange.
