Father Chrysogonus was a distinguished composer whose works have an inspirational quality that lifts my own heart and mind. His focus was always on the text and setting music to best represent the message. This Eucharistic hymn is one of Father's best. The four-part writing is exquisite, with the use of contrary motion and dynamics supporting the beautiful melody.
