Fünf Stücke. 1961. , Triade. 1962. and Elegie. 1967. , which Silvestrov retrospectively describes as "lyrische Dodekaphonie", were composed in a short period in where he learned the musical language of the 20th century. The following sonatas. I-III 1972, 1975, 1979. are characterized - as per Silvestrov – "Identität der Stile". The piano cycle Kitschmusik. 1977. is one of the most impressive reference to his "metaphorischen Stils". V. Silvestrov. Irrespective of the different phases all pieces show his unique thinking and writing process. It is expressed in nuances of agogicism, dynamics and tempi. The pedal needs particular attention - the composer was convinced, that it creates an overtone. Inhalt Sonata Nr. 1. 1972. Sonata Nr. 2. 1975. Sonata Nr. 3. 1979. all three sonatas have been revised by the composer in 1999. Fünf Stücke. 1961. rev. 1999. Triade. 1962. rev. 1999. Elegie. 1967. rev. 1999. "Kitschmusik". 1977.
